The Oxberry CineScan 6400 The Oxberry CineScan 6400 has been developed to converse positive and negative graphical film-images to RGB format. Accurate recording and high resolution CDD conversion ensures digital images with the same 35 resolution and with the same dynamic range as the original film. The camera and projection-modules are assembled on a traditional Oxberry optical printer adapt to the high requirements of high resolution conversion. The Oxberry CineScan 6400 scanner offers you the highest optical standards when transferring from film to digital. (i.e converting visual information to digital information). The original film frames can then be reconstructed at your SGI workstation. The Oxberry CineScan 6400 scanner gives you optimum film resolution images and maximum flexiblity with its 36-bit colour capablities and full access controls. The colour depth available at CMM is far superior to anything you will find elsewhere. While most scanners operate with fixed optics, that can only scan standard full frame film, the highly versatile Oxberry CineScan 6400 scanner can meet any optical requirements- on all or part of a frame- while producing the optimum digital image. Also, other scanners electronically manipulate, meaning a loss of quality- but the Oxberry CineScan 6400 optical scanner system works photographically, and that means total access control.

6400-00 The standard digital printer for film-to-digital conversion from sub-16mm to 35mm Vistvision images. 6400-10 The big format version with an alternative filmformat from Super 35mm to 65mm, 15 perf images. 6400-20 Is the EFX scanner, identical with the 6400-00, except the mechanical auto-focus of the lens, camera positions and the 2000 capability.
